An author, speaker, and licensed Physical Therapist specializing in craniosacral therapy, Kate Mackinnon has been using touch to support her patients in their healing and in accessing their physical potential for the last 30 years. She's passionate about helping people create comfort and ease in their bodies.

She holds diplomate certification in CranioSacral Therapy through the Upledger Institute. She is a Certified Master Practitioner for Distance Healing from the Core® and is a licensed Physical Therapist in both California and the United Kingdom. When first working as a Physical Therapist in the UK, she spent many years working with children with disabilities where she first came across CranioSacral Therapy. Kate uses all of her skills to support patients of all ages through in-person work and through collaborative distance healing sessions.

Utilizing CST, Kate helps people access their own self-healing mechanism and has seen amazing results by using her hands in this subtle and profound technique. She explains this effective treatment in her book titled "From my Hands and Heart: Achieving Health and Balance with CranioSacral Therapy" published through Hay House with a foreword written by Dr. Wayne Dyer, who was her patient and the inspiration for this book.

Additionally, Kate has partnered with Scarlett Lewis to bring the conversation about healthy compassionate touch into schools when working with Social Emotional Learning. Kate has developed an extension program called Healthy Compassionate Touch that is part of the enrichment program for the Jesse Lewis Choose Love Movement.

Kate has been using touch to support her patients in their healing and in accessing their true potential for the last 30 years.

Kate partnered with friend and colleague Robyn Scherr to support colleagues in the practical elements of running their bodywork practices through teaching online classes. Followed by writing a book together called"Elements of a Successful Therapeutic Business," bringing together all they have learned from running their own businesses and teaching others.

In conjunction, Kate offers coaching sessions for practitioners utilizing her clinical experience, therapeutic presence, and effective communication to support practitioners in discovering solutions to barriers that have been holding them back from reaching their full potential. Kate helps her colleagues assess how to make business bloom and tackle the personal and professional issues hindering them.

Based in Livermore, California, Kate works with patients and colleagues in person and virtually.
