Where can I find a Practitioner?

 

Dr. John E. Upledger was the founder of CranioSacral Therapy and The Upledger Institute, Inc. You can find a CST practitioner here, select CranioSacral in “Advanced Search” and then add in your location.

Look at the “Core Classes Taken” section to see the classes that a practitioner has taken. Some have practitioner profiles you can take a look at. It is suggested to call and speak with practitioners. Select the one you like and trust your instinct.

How long is a session?

 

Typical sessions are approximately 60-minutes long. On occasion, you may be able to schedule a shorter or longer appointment, depending on your specific needs

Does a practitioner have to have experience in your particular issue or problem?

 

No. Don’t worry too much about your issue or diagnostic label. Craniosacral Therapy is designed to work at the source of the problem and is intended to complement the body’s natural ability to heal.

What is a Multi-Hands Craniosacral Therapy session?

 

When more than one practitioner is working with you at the same time, the session is considered Multi-hands work. While it's not possible to provide any guarantees, this can be a great opportunity to address a complex issue that you have been working with for a long time, or when you want to the opportunity to take care of a problem more quickly.
